Identifying an Intel Mobile CPU

Hello all,

I am trying to identify an Intel mobile CPU to verify that it is a genuine Intel CPU and not a fake as well as verify that it is the correct model. Supposedly it is a i7-4940mx Socket G3. I have searched quite a bit trying to find something to help me identify the CPU without using software but no luck finding anything an the Intel website is pretty useless when it comes to mobile CPUs.

the only thing that would concern me is the space es at the end which MIGHT mean its an engineering sample however im unsure about this. any reasoin you think its shady

Sorry mate, I don't think it's possible, unless of course you're intel.
Best is to test it's performance and compare it to some online benchmarks of the same CPU.
Make sure to test in CPU only software like CinaBench.

EDIT: Comparing some other pictures to this one, it seems this is not a fake.

Thanks once I searched for Engineering Samples I was able to identify the processor as a 4940MX Intel Engineering Sample and will now contact Paypal and eBay regarding this seller and to get my money back.

I appreciate it.
