Wired or wireless?

In either case go into the Network and Sharing Center. Run the Troubleshooter and see what that finds and possibly fixes.

Take careful note of what it reports and post accordingly.

And try running "ipconfig /all" to check some key configuration information about your network. Open the Run box by pressing the WIN key and the R key together. In the Open box type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes. Copy and post the results.

Do you know your router's make and model? Include that information as well.
