NEED HELP ASAP!! AMD A-10 5800k running at 1.33 ghz when it should be running at 3.8 to 4.2 ghz?

I was playing csgo, And unbeknownst to me, my framerate was under 30 fps. it seemed smooth for a minute, But then it was choppy.. My amd a10 5800k should be at 3.8 ghz when its actually running at 1.33 ghz at this moment. I was always able to hit the 100 fps mark... But now its not even above 40. Help please!

Edit: Checked my power plan, everything was at 100% on high performance

It should be fine. Most processors have a max temp of around 70 and up. I would check your bios and make sure everything is calibrated. If there is nothing wrong. Take out the CMOS battery and unplug your computer (while its shut down) wait a minute to make sure the caps are drained and insert the battery and try booting again.

The only times I have known a modern CPU to be underclocked is when they are overheating I would make sure to clean any dust out of your system and check your CPU temps. If it is overheating regardless of your power plan it will drop the cpu speed to avoid damage.

Alright. Thanks for that. My system is almost disgustingly clean lol. No idea why itd overheat...

It's running at 52 degrees celcius. The max has been 54 degrees. Is it safe? Is it Another problem?
