Gtx 960 worth an upgrade from gtx 760 ti?

Solution
a 970 would be a better choice if you're looking to push 1440.

Also, upgrading from a 760 (ti or not) to a 960 has a very minimal boost in performance. A 970 would be a much better upgrade in terms of price to performance.

Also, why not wait a couple more months for Pascal? :) If you don't want a pascal, maybe by then when the Pascal cards do come out, the Maxwell cards will drop in price and hey, there's a juicy discount for you.

960 is not suited for 1440p and especially not 4k

i own a 960 OC to 1481mhz, and i only get 45fps in Rise of the Tomb Raider on Ultra at 1080p(ofc the 960 isnt meant for Ultra settings at 1080p either but gives you an idea)

4k on a 960 xD !!!

You need a 980/980 Ti or radeon 390/390x/Fury/Fury X to push 1440p on Ultra settings and basically double up any of the previous to push 4k

This is fairly rough and not very precise advice but it is designed to show you that you are VERY far off achieving such resolutions.

That's exactly what I told him in games but he is looking to view 1440p to 4k video. He saw my setup and just went shopping without any knowledge. Also, I am getting 45-60fps ultra setting on GTA 5 MSAA x 2 on 4k.. I love my setup haha

I guess you can call it a poor man's 4k gaming

Your setups is a bit bonkers to be fair...the wildest gaming CPU currently available but 2x 970SLI...and that works for 4k??? Intriguing
