Recently, ASUS released BIOS updates for some of their X99 mobos: http://www.asus.com/Microsite/mb/intel-core-i7-x-series-cpu-ready/

Does anyone know if there will be BIOS updates for their X99 WS series too?

Greetings dobbylan,

Thanks for sharing your post. Currently there is no ETA for a BIOS update for the X99 WS motherboard's UEFI in conjunction with Intel Core i7 X-series processors. ASUS R&D is working diligently on getting the UEFI build ready for the Broadwell-E release. Please wait patiently as the release will become available at a later date.

I would be happy with any X99 WS model, such as the X99-E WS or the X99-M WS

So is this 100% certain that the x99-m ws will eventually be compatible with Broadwell-e? I specifically did my build with the x99-m ws and 5820K so I could upgrade to Broadwell-e once it is released. I would be pretty disappointed to have an x99 mobo that is not compatible with the new 2011-3 CPUs
