iMac 2007 Ram Help

Hi

I have a 2007 model iMac which according to Apples needs Ram type of DDR2 PC-5300 and I want to upgarde to 8GB, but of course this is costly. I have an 8gb Ram module which is PC2-4200s. Will this work okay???

It's a bit hard to tell. With your Apple Serial number, a memory expert will be able to tell the exact memory supported. Try going to memorystock.com or crucial.com. Some iMac's support up to 8 GB ( 2x 4 GB).
