Upgrading GPU Advice

I am considering to update my pc with a new gtx 970 but i don't know if there are any implications that i don't know about.

My current specs are :
Intel core i5 - 2400 3.10 GHz
Gigabyte DDR3 P61 - DS3 - B3
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6700
Cooler Master GX 550W

Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming (e.g. Witcher 3,Inquisition)

Tell me if there is anything more you need and feel free to suggest other stuff.Although on a side note i don't want AMD gpus mainly because they have a lot of issues with a couple of games

your psu is not very good, but it should handle your system if you dont overclock anything

replace it with a good quality unit as soon as you can

So far my psu has served me quite well.It hasn't caused any problems other than that it makes a lot of noise altought it's been a long time since i've cleaned it.

But i will look into it.

I couldn't find said PSU in newegg,amazon,ebay and other sites so i upped my budget a bit and went for a Tier 1 AX760i
