Hello Everyone,

I have a PC with a H67M-GE motherboard and a i7-2700K CPU. It has 16GB of 1333MHz RAM in it, which has always worked fine. However, the OS has recently been updated to Windows 10 Education 64 bit.

The motherboard has 4 x DDR3 DIMM slots, which have 4GB RAM in each, but in the BIOS and in Windows > System Information it is only showing 8GB installed. I have tested each stick individually and they all work and show 4GB. I have tested the pairs in A1/B1 and A2/B2 and both combinations also work (although sometimes only shows 7.96GB installed in Windows System Information). The minute I put all 4 sticks in, making sure that the correct sticks are grouped for the dual channel it still only shows 8GB RAM installed.

I don't know if it is related but the BIOS was also updated, which at the time caused no end of problems (not my choice and I definitely would not have done so as it was working okay before). It took us some time to get it working after that.

Some other specs for things that have changed recently: It has a Geforce GTX 680 and the a new PSU (Integrator 500w) Aerocool.

Any help gratefully received.

A.

Yes I have downloaded all the drivers. CPU-Z can see the 16gb. The manufacturer is Transcend.
