SSD Not Recognized Sometimes

Hi There,

Periodically my system will not boot.

-BIOS will not see the drive.
-Various boot messages that appear stating the boot device is unavailable.
-Unplugging the SATA cable to my SSD (Samsung SSD 840 Pro) boot drive and plugging it back in will resolve the problem.

The Samsung Magician software states that the drive is in perfect health. The system works perfectly 99% of the time, but this 1% is clearly a problem.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. The system works amazingly otherwise and I'm very happy with it.

Thank you.

What motherboard do you use? I'm on an Asrock 990fx
I actually encounter the same problem, i just give my Desktop a pat on the head and it starts right up.
I've always thought it was because of a loose connection on the SSD, like the actual SATA data and power plugs feel wobbly. Do yours feel wobbly too?

Thank you for your response.

Not sure what motherboard type I have - I tried looking, but it's not made clear and I guess this info doesn't live in the Device Manager. The machine though is a Dell Inspiron XPS desktop if that helps.

In terms of the SATA connection it does not appear loose.

Any other ideas?
