I have a Avatar desktop.
OS: Windows 10 (formerly Windows 8.1)
Hard Drive: 1TB Seagate
CPU: FX6300
I have been having a problem where my computer wont boot past the manufacturer's logo and just stays there, I did not wait to see how long it would last and it will just instantly shut off upon pressing the power button.
I believe this is in response to the night prior where I accidentally put it to sleep rather than shut down and shut off the surge protector so essentially cut off the power (my surge protector has really bright lights).
I have a windows 8.1 recovery disk. Though I have done nothing as of yet in fear of making a problem even worse.
EDIT/UPDATE:
So I decided to unplug my blue tooth mouse usb from one of the front usb ports and reinsert my old mouse in the rear usb ports....and it fully booted. I should note however that it did go to a blank black screen for ~15 seconds after I reached the log in window.
Now I want to know why this may have happened and if this is an indicator of something potentially wrong with my system.
