Hey, I bought this game "Dark Souls III" a couple days ago. Once I opened it, I saw that I have a low FPS (5-10 FPS), I closed the game and tried to make the GPU settings to performance then rebooted my laptop and saw that it the FPS went from 0-10 FPS to 25-30 FPS, then later I tried to increase the GPU settings to make it balanced between performance and quality, the game started lagging even worse than it used to do before changing the settings, so I reversed that and the game went back to 5-10 FPS
Any help? :)

I think that the problem is with windows 10 or my hardware is outdated, but the reason why I am posting this is because it ran once with playable FPS at max settings

Also, When I increase the resolution, the FPS drops A LOT ,I can only play it windowed least resolution.

Specs :
GPU : Geforce 820M 2GB
CPU : Intel Core i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHZ (Not Overclocked)
Memory/RAM : 6GB
Windows 10 latest version
Latest dark souls III version

Thanks for your time :)

Your GPU is the problem, it's very very weak, and not really gonna do much better 3d graphics than the integrated would.

Also, are you sure its NOT running on the integrated graphics as opposed to the GPU?

You might try 1024x768 resolution, it may run at that.

I never said I want to run the game at max settings, at least 20-30 frames at low settings and least resolution, anyway, thanks for the response.

And hey, just realised that the game is just taking a 10% CPU usage while it used to take a 70%, hope you can help with that. :)

Plus here is what I found out, The GPU usage isn't at its max neither is close to it when I am doing a benchmark test or playing the game although it is in p0, Can anyone explain why is that?

EDIT 1

Plus thats with the GPU overclock of 10%
Look at the temperature the GPU isn't even trying to put effort.

Hope someone could help me out soon :)

I FOUND THE SOLUTION, Just simply go to your NVIDIA control panel then click on the small (+) on the 3D settings then select the "Set physX configuration then change the physX processor to CPU and then go to manage 3D settings and then go to global settings and finally go to preferred graphics processor and make it integrated graphics and apply and you are done!

Thank me later :)
