An Old MS-DOS Game Doesn't Run

I tried to run an old MS-DOS game from late 80's in configuration mode . And when I press to ''N'' , it crashes .

Have you tried Scumm VM for this game?

Have you thought about just using FreeDOS and booting from a USB stick, or CD or something?

Are you running Windows 7? If I am right, try running the game with the XP mode.

What's the game? there might be an emulator out there that will make it work. My guess based on the error is that it's crashing after taking that first input when it tries to load the game. It's trying to load the game in full screen but can't handle the resolution of your monitor and the game crashes. You might get away with simply reducing your monitors resolution to something more 80's-ish. Like 800x600, or less.

Another option would be to set up a virtual machine with a lesser version of windows and see if it'll play nice on that.

you likely need to run it in the DosBox emulator software. Not natively on modern Windows. This is what GOG does for their collection of old games. http://www.dosbox.com/information.php?page=0
