Hello guys,

My question may sounds stupid.

I have a new PC since 3 days with brand new quality components (6700k, GTX 970, EVGA gold psu, ASUS Z170A mobo).

I also have a new windowed case (Define R5) So maybe thats why I havent noticed that before.

But verytime I boot the PC, there's 2 small red light that appears on my Mobo for 2-3 seconds before disapperaing or turning white. Beside that, everything is normal, temperatures, performance, etc (I ran 3dmark, etc). Didnt had any issue while running games or movie rendering.

Is it normal ?
Or it's like the "Check Engine" light on a car ? Which means incoming trouble ?

Solution
It is normal. Check your Asus manual. There are four red LEDs on it, one each for CPU, RAM, boot device, and now I've forgotten the fourth...
Anyway, they come on as each is tested. If there's a problem, that particular LED will stay on, so you'll know where to look for the problem.
maybe just during bios post [ power on self test] if its just during that brief time and alls fine once your up and going call it good and normal ? when they stay on for a faulty component [cpu/memory/gpu] is when theres a issue seem like that's how my old asus sabertooth did [green was good and on after post]

Ok thanks guys.
I indeed looked quickly at the ASUS manual but they arent refering much at the described situation (temporary red lights after pressing power button). They only saying it's bad when red lights are staying on. So I was on a gray area.
