I am looking at these two cards, trying to decide which card i should go for as i have built a budget build rig (For Gaming) unfortunately i chucked in my old (really old) gt 610 (face palm, shame on me) and have decided to upgrade my GPU.

If you the great community of Tom's Hardware could help me i would really appreciate it :)
(Current specs are below)

Mobo: Asus H81M-Plus

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.20Ghz OC to 4.20Ghz

RAM: 4gb HyperX Fury 1333Mhz

PSU: EVGA 430W 80+ White

Case: Cooler Master

out of those 2 the r7 250 is the clear winner(rebrand of the HD7770). but I would also suggest looking at a 750ti or a gtx 950 because the lower end cards do not offer as much price/performance as slightly more expensive cards do. a good budget low end card should be 8$ to 130$. such as the Zotac 750ti or the EVGA 750ti or any GTX 950. It will give you the best price/performance out of any cheap card on the market

Thank you for the quick reply, i will first get the R7 250 as i am on a budget but i will eventually upgrade to a 750 ti.
p.s Has the R7 250 got OverClocking Potential?

yes any card can overclock, but the thing is it wont be worth it to do that. Using an r7 250 with a G3258 and then upgrading is not the way to go. What is your budget? I would suggest you find a Used radeon 7870 or a 7850 on ebay. That is the equal of r9 270/x but only for 80ish dollars.
