I'm looking for a laptop at about $800 or so. It cannot exceed $860 including shipping and taxes.

I'm mainly looking for a laptop that I can use for photo editing with Adobe products but maybe also some light gaming for games like Skyrim. Nothing overly intensive like Witcher 3.

I'm pretty much looking for a gaming laptop with an accurately colored IPS display.
I haven't really seen any reviews but I was looking at the Gigabyte P15F V5 from New Egg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834233134&cm_re=gigabyte_p15fv5-_-34-233-134-_-Product).

I would upgrade the ram to 16gb and upgrade the HDD and the SSD in the near future. There's currently a $100 coupon until 4/24 which makes it $729 so I could buy better ram or a better HDD probably with it.

I'm looking for equal or better options though. I'm looking for bang for my buck and don't mind spending the $860 but nothing over that. I read somewhere that AMD and Adobe don't mix well but I'm not 100% positive if that's true.
I'd also like to know if anyone has bought the Gigabyte P15 V5 because it looks like a decent laptop provided minor upgrades are made

Personally I just don't feel comfortable purchasing HP or Dell. I feel like if you're buying a Dell you're basically buying an Alienware.

I've read that Dell has gotten better over the years but I'm not going to 100% rely on an article that puts Apple at their top spot.

I'm gonna check out some reviews though just in case. My main worry is that it will overheat because that's always been the biggest problems with my HPs and Dells. Aside from the viruses, but that was probably one of my parents since I was still a kid.

I'm not a big fan of Dell in general, but I work on quite a few laptops and and have to admit that Dell's are pretty well built considering their cost. Acer, HP, and Toshiba's seem to have more problems. I currently own three Dell's, the oldest being about nine years old and all have been very reliable.

Huh must have been the specific models/copies of the machines. Not really sure which would be the better choice for me though.

I actually came pretty close to buying the Dell but I realized the gigabyte would be the better choice for me because I didn't require the better GPU over the better CPU in the gigabyte. But thank you for helping to alleviate some of my paranoia over Dell products. I don't think any company can be as bad as Toshiba nonetheless.
