I have an 8gb kingston micro sd card, which was in my phone but on the other day it just stopped working the phone doesn't recognize anything. I tried in another phone, on pc with multiple adapters and readers but the card is not recognized at all. I am not able to recover my data because no software can see the card so it sucks :/ The card isn't damaged phisically, so I have no idea how it stopped working.
Is there any solution other than sending it to a company who recover data for a 1000 bucks or so? I also tried cleaning off the card with a microfiber cloth but it didn't help :/ Is there anything else that I might be able to do? Please help! :)

There is Recoverfab who can recover files by using a nand flash reader or something. But the price is not worth the data.
But I also read an oven method that might be able to get the card working again by melting the solder joints and I might be able to backup the data quickly.
I have to soak the card in alcohol, after that put it into a 240C preheated oven on aluminum foil for 15 minutes. Here 2 folks are saying that they were successful with very few data loss: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1658267/corrupted-micro-card.html
Since there is nothing else I can do, I think it's worth a try :)

Omg guys I had doubts about this method even though 2 people said it works but I can CONFIRM that it's legit and it works!!Obviously it's not 100% but it's definitely not a lie. I did it :DD. I soaked the micro sd card in alcohol just for 15 minutes then put it into the 240C preheated oven for 15 minutes then let it cool down for another 15 minutes and voaalaa, the card works again!! It's unbelievable :D

I obviously don't expect that it will last for a long time. The only important thing was to rescue the data, it's an 8gb card so it really doesn't matter whether it will last for a long time or not. I managed to get the data back and that's what matters. It's an 8gb card not a 128 or 256gb so buying a new one isn't a big deal. Though this doesn't depend on me, as I mentioned above, it's my neighbour's card so she decides what she'll do with the card but I'll recommend her to buy a new one.
