Hey all! Need some advice reference upgrading my couple years old PC.
Motherboard is Maximus VI Hero
Intel I7 Processor:I7-4470K (lga1150) with H100I cooling
Single GTX 780-3gb GDDR5
2x4gigs ---8 gigs of ram (Gskill DDDR -1866)
Antec power supply 620 continuous power
Case:Cooler Master HAF 922 - Mid Tower Computer Case with High Airflow and USB 3.0
Monitor: http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VG248QE-24-inch-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0

Question is how and if I should upgrade this rig?
Get another GTX780 and run an SLI? If so I will need a bigger power supply?
I play games such as Fallout 4, Rust, Witcher..I pretty much run these no problem with current rig but I been itching to step up a little..Any advice or thoughts? Cheapest route?
Thanks in Advance!

Personally I would look at getting a new GPU when Pascal comes out. The 1080/X80 or ti version (if in budget) should provide a decent performance boost over the 780 and should have better support for dx12 features.

I always personally favour a top single GPU solution over SLI unless you're already at the very top of the latest range.

Your PC is still super powerful, as you know.

With a 1080p (144Hz) screen I don't know how much more you really want to get out of it, as your setup must be running any of those games above 100 FPS? (Or do you just slide everything to max and hope for the best??)

I would have said at 1440p and G-Sync it could be worth going the SLI route, I am not sure it is with 1080p

Worth checking the market (ebay) etc to see what price you can find another identical 780 at. You will quickly be able to evaluate if it's a worthwhile investment (300 pounds or so to get another 30-40 FPS...doesn't stack up to me personally)

Any idea how much pascal cards will run for?800$? Will pascal even be compatible with my current parts or will everything have to be updated? What about 870ti? How much upgrade 870ti would be to 780? Tks
