So guys i recently upgraded to a 3770K @ 4.5ghz, 1.350V and i ran prime95 for almost half hour and my temps reached 95C i have a corsair H80i GT hydro cooler and i tried my best to lower the voltage on 4.5Ghz but i had blue screens this was the only Voltage i didn't have crashes, i know these CPU street tests put a lot of load on the CPU which usually even high end games dont, but still should i lower my clock and voltage ? or its fine ?

You don't want to get the CPU running at 95 degrees too often, however then again prime 95 isn't a great way to test the CPU and can actually cause a lot of damage.

Try using Aida64 (http://www.aida64.com/products/aida64-extreme) which has a free trial to test your OC. It sounds like you are overvolting it a bit too much, as you should be able to reach quite good OC with near to stock volts.

well there is a good news i think i have found a stable clock @ 4.5 Ghz by lowering the voltage to 1.270V and now temps are 72C average and 77C the highest on AIDA64 for 16mins its still running, i am very thankful for telling me about aida 64 because prime95 and LinX were putting to much load

That's great that you lowered the voltage because I am running my 3770K at 1.375v at 5ghz with Hyper Threading disabled, so your voltage is way too high even 1.270v IMO is still too high for 4.5ghz.

I see in your specs you are also running an ASUS Sabertooth Z77, it is probably the way you have your BIOS settings configured that is the problem, and the problem being requiring too much voltage to run a simple overclock.

I am running Chilled Water Cooling that is why I am able to run the 5ghz overclock, but with your cooling you can still get it running cooler, you've listed Corsair Vengence 16gb, assuming what's in your sig is your actual specs are the exact what are the exact Corsair model # of your memory?
