My CPU temps are safe but I have a big OCD of temps and I need to know if the Corsair H60 is compatible with my specs: IF their are any better or cheap alternatives please tell me :) and it does not need to be Liquid cooling my temps are 109 fahrenheit/36 C and F is increasing RAPIDLY
Intel i5 4460 (locked)
Asus H81M-Plus motherboard (my main concern)
Corsair Vengeance 16gb ram
Antec Truequiet 120mm (including a cooler master one that came with the case) (one at front one another at the back planning to install one on the bottom)
AMD r7 360 Overclocked GPU
Corsair VS550 550 watt PSU not the best but does the job (changing to Antec HCG 620M which is made my Seasonic and I heard its good)
Seagate Barracuda hardrive
Asus VP228H Gaming Monitor 21.5 inch If this matters
PSU: Corsair VS550
CASE: COOLER MASTER K350

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

:) :) :) :) :) :)

You will still see temperatures far in excess or 109 Fahrenheit even with the Corsair H60 liquid cooler. Intel CPUs are designed to run close to 100c / 212f, and will exceed 60c / 140f even with the best coolers. This isn't a problem, however, because they're designed to run at these temperatures, and can safely do so for years or even decades.

If you absolutely insist on buying an aftermarket cooler, the CM Hyper 212 EVO is a good, inexpensive choice, but be aware that you're going to have to disassemble your whole PC (take out your motherboard) to install it, and you will get zero performance or longevity benefits.

Honestly, it's better to think of temperature as an arbitrary number, because your expectations of what is hot and...

Honestly, it's better to think of temperature as an arbitrary number, because your expectations of what is hot and what is not do not apply to modern CPUs. Your CPU is only at 36/100 of is maximum safe temperature.

The 212 evo catches my eye but it doesen't fit into my case the Cooler Master K350 now you know why its in caps xD
Thanks I will think about a way to fit it in if thats possible and its my only choice :)

Consider this: If an AMD CPU claims it runs at 40c, and an Intel CPU claims it runs at 70c, but both measure temperatures differently, with a sensor in a different place (the Intel sensor is closer to the hottest part of the CPU), and the Intel CPU can still run 30c hotter but the AMD CPU can only run 20c hotter, which is more of a problem?

How about this: The Noctua NH-L9i is relatively inexpensive and a little better than the stock cooler, and comes with a high quality fan that's not very noisy. I have one in one of my own machines and like it better than the Hyper212 due to the higher quality fan. It also comes with some nice accessories that may be useful to you.

I should stress though, that even with an aftermarket cooler, you will still see temperatures in excess of 35c / 109f. So, if you're buying with the expectation of getting below that number for some reason, it's not going to happen.

So.. I am not good at my english but can you put your answer to this question in simple english (sorry!)
Ok.. My question is Noctua NH-l9i with the thermal paste that comes with it and another Antec Truequiet 120 on the bottom of my case if this matters. or the Corsair H60 with another Antec Truequiet 120 at the bottom of my case
I have a case fan on the front and a case fan on the back RIGHT next to the CPU which is nice :)

Thanks
