superninja12 :
a mohterboard doesnt ALWAYS need standoffs if it fits perfectly withotu standoffs dont screw them on, you might bend your motherboards(... like i did..)
but if it needs standoffs it needs.
OH LOL here we go!A brilliant way to FRY your motherboard !
I had some fun
Jokes aside.
Sometimes shields have small pins that are intended to keep em more tightly to motherboard and to ground it , check if there are some of those and you can just bend em, usually in the direction of MB ports like that:
Just be careful with USB ports, sometimes there are more pins, than there should be and may go into USB ports if you bend em and may fry em when you run the pc.
You can just chip them off, by bending em multiple times.
Its simple no worries.
Ofcourse i hope you are using the IO shield from motherboard right ?
Check to see if you chose the right one if there are more from one in the package.
