So I found there was no good way to ask this as there is probably not much I can do other than call my ISP tds (which is trash). But here's the situation, so I am gamer. When i'm the only one on the internet I get a solid 40-50 Ping, but when my sister begins to use face time or download an app, or any other heavy download/upload task my ping shoots to a solid 300-400. I do run an Ethernet connection (power line). So I guess my question is for one thing what is the issue that creates this, allowed bandwidth for each device? And is there is a solution other than calling my ISP?

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

You can disable Wi-Fi whiel you are playing, that would solve all the problem.

Now, how I know that it is not a good solution, the next one is use QoS on your router (if you have access to it), that gives you the option of keep a decent ping on your gaming rig while your sister do what she do while you play.
