Computer turns off while gaming

The title pretty much explains it, while gaming my computer will suddenly turn off without warning and when it turns back on it says that the motherboard detected a surge and this tripped an auto turn off switch (or something to that general effect). I have had this problem for a few years and it comes and goes without reason. I assumed like a few other people that this was a power supply issue, but I changed out my power supply about a year ago and I still run into problems. Wondering if anyone who is more computer literate might have any suggestions.

My specs:
Intel 6700k i7 4GHz
Cooler master hyper 212x cpu cooler
G. Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 2400 MHz
ASUS H170 Pro Gaming LGA 1151 Motherboard
ASUS strix gtx 970 x 2 (sli)
Samsung 840 pro 128 gb SSD
Samsung 840 evo 240 gb SSD
WD 2 TB black HHD
Seagate 1 TB hard drive
Corsair RM 850 W PS

Yeah, I had it on my old motherboard until it died. I changed out the processor, motherboard and ram, but everything else was from my old build.
