ok so im building my mate a PC out of my old parts n pieces and this is my first time building a PC

I have no ram or HDD but my mate has ram and a HDD in his current PC that i could use for now im using a stick of my own ram and a usb pen as a HDD if that even works, but when i connect everything up(like in the pictures) it turns on but i get no signal.
i originally was just going to give him the GPU and put it in his current rig but for some reason the PC wasnt picking anything up, it couldnt detect the GPU.
thinking it might be a dodgy GPU.
So since i have better bits and pieces at home than his current rig i thought id assemble the PC here while he uses his one.
fx 6300
zotac gtx 660 ti amp
8GB ddr3 (in his current rig)
he currently has a better psu than the one im using (coolermaster 750w) but ill put his PSU in once i get things working,

and the current system i'm building at home when i turn it on the motherboard lights up all the fans start working everything is normal just no signal, I've triple checked everything.
