HP Z820 died this morning due to a - corrupt driver "atwrs.sys" which i've never seen or heard of previously and i can find no record of anywhere.

HP Z820 Dual XEONS - 128gb RAM - Windows 7 Pro - Boot drive was a Crucial SSD ( i say was as it looks like it's not going to be working again any time soon)

Anyone seen this failure before?

Thanks in advance.

Solution
Many of those corrupt or missing file errors actually come from a bad hard drive.
Run a Windows repair setup or just re-install Windows clean on the system and see if that works. If not, it's most likely a failed hard drive.

And it turns out this was exactly what was wrong. The fact it was on an SSD initially made matters worse but booting from another drive and running Windows Recovery fixed this and we're back to a fully operating healthy PC. Many thanks. J.
