Additional GPU airflow in tower case

I am wondering how I might seriously increase the GPU airflow on my tower case. The configuration right now is GPU1 - three open slots -- GPU 2 -- 2 open slot -- PSU. Forward of the GPUs is a rather solid looking metal storage rack. It sits between the front fan and the GPUs so it doesn't look like beefing up the front fan will be too effective. I could potentially try and mount a fan in the empty 5.25 in drive bay(s) or somehow onto the back of the case on the empty slots. Noise target is something comparable to 1 or 2 box fans - loud but tolerable. Cheers

A ssd mount is not a problem.
You can simply lay it on the bottom of the case.
You could secure it by drilling a hole in the bottom plate of the case and securing it with a screw or two.
Or, your 5 1/2" front drive bays can hold drives with an adapter.

Actually it turns out the drive cage is riveted in pretty well. Looks like it's not coming out. Well I'll beef up the rear fan at least and think about some other options.

Do you really need to do anything?
The airflow will be disturbed, but it will exit somewhere.
Are you particularly attached to the case?
You choul buy a new one.

You could simply increase the rate at which air in the case is circulated. If you used two fans (one front intake and one rear exhaust) such as Coolermaster Jetflos or Noctua NF-A14 PWMs you could change the air much faster, which means your GPUs would have more cool air to use.
