Hi guys. My son is interested in recording Minecraft on his CentOS box, but he's having trouble with latency (stuttering video) using RecordMyDesktop. We've upgraded his proc from the A4-4000 to A10-6800, upgraded RAM to 16GB, and tried recording to a solid state drive. The only other option seems to be to upgrade the video card, but with this architecture it seems to be a difficult choice.
Right now his board will only support a 1u PCI-E 16x card. I'm really not sure where to go without upgrading the board, proc, and video card all in one go. We're still learning about desktop recording and tweaking optimization in the game, but hardwarewise what's the smart choice?
Thanks!
