I purchased a new graphics card and being a bit computer illiterate( well a lot really) I probably should have found out if it was compatible with my current pc hardware. Which it was not and it's probably just best to build a PC around my new gpu. Which is an
ASUS GeForce GTX 970 Strix OC 1253MHZ 4GB 7.0GHZ GDDR5 2XDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card
I've decided on a

Phanteks Enthoo Pro Full Tower EATX Black Case w/ Window 3x 5.25EXT 6x 3.5INT 2x USB3.0 No PS for the case. ( http://www.ncix.com/detail/phanteks-enthoo-pro-full-tower-6d-98838-1230.htm#CustomerReviews)

I figured this is the one thing I have a chance of not messing up.

I probably bought a gpu that is really more than I need, I'm not planning on really using my pc for anything other than gaming and not planning on doing anything else, no streaming or such, no overclocking. I guess I don't need the best and most expensive hardware for what I'm doing. But I do like good graphics and fps.
I'm willing to spend another $900 to $1000, I think I should be safe to get a build around this price.

Thank you for any help and suggestions, this site has been super amazing.

Thanks for the suggestions, I would return it, but it's been a bit over 30 days as this has been an interesting adventure with my current pc. I'm going to take a bit of time with this so I at least I can still weigh out my options. Worst comes to worst it will be easier to upgrade this build. My current pc is an HP and not very upgrade-able due to some parts in it.
