Absolutely true, the Haswell socket is end of life, there will be no new CPU's for it. Skylake the next gen cup's are supposed to be compatible with the current gen motherboards. Same for DDR3, you won't be able to reuse it on future generations.
Performance wise there is negligible difference but for giving yourself more future options Haswell gives you none
yeah but better than skylake atm i recomend haswell as there be a new socket again soon & utilize the ddr3 ram that's avaliblity has flooded the market as well as processors
That's the point, the 1151 socket is supposed to be the standard for the next few Intel generations. 1150 is end of life, no new cups will be released for it
yeah but the 1151 sockets are weak i know of that many issues with them atm had a lot of m8s junking for haswells atm as the socket is weak on all difrent brands the haswell socket is reliable reliability is key
Please provide a link to any evidence of this, first time I'm hearing of any such claim. There were a few buggy earlier BIOS's but that's a non issue now
they been hidden by intel manufactorers most the big companies gave replacements to hide the issues, i got a few dev it m8s wont touch them as they not that as strong as they are claimed since hes in india haswell is best option as be easier to find atm personaly i prefer sandy bridge i got a sandy & as good as the day i got it
