Help me Tom's Hardware, you're my only hope... PC won't start

So I'm absolutely stumped here. My PC had been working for about almost a year, and then suddenly it isn't booting up. I have had some sporadic power cycling issues in the past, but this was solved by powering off the power supply, then powering it back on. But now this is different.

Motherboard lights up when connected to the power supply, but when I try to turn it on, it will start to power up VERY briefly (think less than a second) and the power off. (This happened out of the blue - I hadn't made any hardware changes.) It happens so fast that there isn't time for the mobo to have a code readout. I've tried everything I can think of, and can't isolate the problem.

- I've tried pressure testing ram 1 stick at a time, one pair at a time, and tried with no ram.
- tried graphics cards individually (I'm running sli)
- tried removing all the ram and both graphics cards
- I figured the mobo had crapped out so I RMA'd it. Got the new mobo, reassembled everything, and I'm having the same problem. This obviously involved reseating the cpu and cooler.
- then I figured it had to be the power supply. Got a new power supply and .... wait for it, same thing. tried it first with the old power supply cable, then when that didn't work, I rewired everything with the new power supply cables.

I'm really stumped here. It's strange that it's powering down so fast and with no error code on the mobo, I'm fresh out of ideas.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Any ideas would be very much appreciated as I'm out of options here.

My build is:
- Asus rampage v extreme - x99 chipset (replacement was new - not refurb)
- i7 5820k (no overclock)
- corsair h80 liquid cooling system
- 16gb gskill ripsaw 3000mhz ddr4 ram
- 2x 980 gtx in sli (light overclock)
- EVGA 1000w power supply (originally), now using a corsair h1000i 1000w power supply (replacement is new)
- 2 samsung 850evo ssd's in raid 0, and 2 tb WD black hdd
- case is a silverstone Temjin tj11

Nice system! Just like mine except mine is smaller LOL
It sounds like you've tried everything except obviously what it is that is wrong. You done it all from what I read to troubleshoot the PC.. Maybe check all your wires? I'd go as far as trying another wall outlet at this point having eliminated the components as you have said..
Then again.. it is not unheard of to get a bad RMA even if new. You got a tidy sum in the system.. Maybe take the parts in pieces to a shop and let them test them for you.
I could only recommend building it screw by screw again and doing everything you have already done But, slower. :/

Thanks for the reply OhioLeda! I think you're right, next bet is to take it in for testing. I basically already rebuilt it when I replaced the motherboard, psu, and psu cables, so I'm not that inclined to do it all again and have the same thing happen. Appreciate the input. I'll reply to this post if I figure out what it is.

If you have almost switched every component, you should change your PSU I'm afraid. Or if that does not solve the problem, it could be the CPU issue. MOBO will go without BP if no CPU is detected.
