like the title says, will a basic dell 275W power supply that comes with a pre built dell OptiPlex 3010 mini rig handle the zotac gtx 750ti? it fits the chase and it doesn't require a power supply to GPU connector. other components being i3 3220 and 2x 4GB ram and a 60MM small fan and the cpu heatsink fan ofcourse and 1TB HDD and a DVD Rewriter.
will it handle it? the eXtreme power supply calculator website says load wattage is 173W and recommended Wattage is 223W, and this PSU is 275W so should it be find?
One more question, is the heatsink that comes with LGA 1150 processors compatible with a socket LGA 1155 motherboard? will it fit? the stock heatsink that comes with 4th gen intel processors.
Thanks

Solution
1) Probably.
Your system should use under 100W not counting the 750Ti. Not sure if that's overclockable but if so it probably won't use more than 100W but you can look that up.

I haven't looked up the exact PSU specs but it seems likely.

2) Heatsink?
Probably. Not quite sure what you're doing exactly but I believe it is.

what i'm doint is I'm thinking of buying a gtx 750ti for my bro's rig which has the mentioned hardware, there aren't good PSUs here, they are all local.
and about the heatsink, the original heatsink fan failed and I have a spare intel stock heatsink that came with my i5 4690k, I don't use it as I bought a Cooler master Seidon 120V cooler for it, so i changed and it was compatible, thank you.

it should work right? and even if it doesn't, I should realize it before it damages the card right?

well it might need a bit more power for overclocking but 275w should be okay

Power supplies don't run out of power, and the maximum power they can achieve is always way above the point at which protections kick in or when the PSU would burn anyway, so having more or less power, or not having enough power, or needing more power, are all unrealistic scenarios that don't play a role of importance in computer switchmode power supplies.

Power supplies can't run out of power.

I have a secondary computer that is an HP SFF pc with a 240w psu. I use a low profile MSI 750ti and it works great. I have gamed many hours on it with MGS V and never had an issue.
