First off, I'd like to thank the community for all the guidance I have gotten in regards to my first build. The only things I am missing are my cpu and graphics card (waiting for a check). But I have some questions regarding the build itself, really just small things. Please forgive the stupidy of myself, I am still very new to this. Thank you all!

*More questions may be added later tonight

1) I have my standoffs in my case, but I do not know if there is a certain screw to use to secure the mobo? One set fits but I just want to make sure so I do not fry it.

2) My corsair SP120 fans have what appears to be 3 pin connectors, can this be used on the 4 pin connector on my mobo?

3) Is water cooling beneficial enough to justify purchasing a kit? (This pc is going to be used for gaming)

4) Air intake should be from the bottom and front and exhaust should be top and rear correct?

Thanks again!

Solution
1. Your case manual should show which screws are appropriate to use. Every case I've had has only had one set of screws that will even fit, indicating that they are meant for that area.

2. Yes, just make sure you're lining up the plastic piece on the connector and the one on the motherboard. Usually the 4th, untouched pin will be on the right.

3. I've always used Corsair closed loop water coolers, and I love them. Even if not OCing, I always recommend closed loop coolers such as the H100i or H115i. The cooler your system stays, the longer it will last.

That being said, I replace the stock fans with Cougars, because the stock fans are louder than a jet engine.

4. Yes. I use this configuration and I have excellent idle and load temps...

Solution
1: if the screws fit, they are right :) 2: yes, they can. 3: a custom loop, not unless you have no budget, ant TOP of the line hardware. An AIO on the other hand,if you have a overclockable cpu, is worth it. 4: I guess, but it depends if you want positive pressure or negative air pressure. If you want a sweet spot, then yes, that will work. There is not really a "best" way to do it.

1. yes it should be that set, anything fits should work. BUT just check the case manual to make sure.
2. yes they can. itll just have one pin extra hanging. but the 3 pins are made for fan controllers, or else they will run full RPM which might be very loud.
3. theres no point in using a kit if air cooling for you is enough. if you overclock to extremes, then water cooling or LN is needed. if you oc both cpu and gpu, then you can decide on a full loop and a big radiator if ocing very high.
4. yes you are correct
