I recently built my first PC, and with it I ordered a 1 TB Seagate Barracuda with it. I also have another HDD of the same brand and size from my older PC that I want to use as well, however it still has all of the data from that PC, plus Windows 7 32-bit on it. Is it possible to just plug it in and go, or do I need to wipe it. I am perfectly okay with formatting it and deleting all of the data on it.

Solution
You must be a bit more precise about your objectives...

1. Are you planning to install a new OS - perhaps Win 10 - on your new PC using the new Seagate 1 TB HDD as your boot drive?

2. Insofar as the older 1 TB HDD...is your intention to use that disk as a secondary drive in the new system for storage/backup purposes or some such? Or are you thinking about utilizing its Win 7 OS as a second OS in the new system?

If all you're concerned with is utilizing the old HDD as a secondary drive and you have no need for the data currently installed on that disk, simply connect & format the disk in the new system after you install the new OS on your new 1 TB HDD.

I only want it as a secondary drive, for backup and extra storage in general. I already have Win7 on the drive in the machine already. My concern was that the old drive ALSO has Win7 on it, so I didn't know if the Old HDD would conflict with my current Win7 installation (Boot problems?) So your saying I only have to connect it?

Yes, basically all that is necessary is that you connect the old HDD in the system. It would be best if you would delete the old Win 7 installation on that drive and assuming there's no data on that disk that you need you might consider simply formatting the drive so that you would be working with a clean secondary drive free of data at this point.
