So I am building a new PC soon and I want to reuse both my old SSD and HDD.
My HDD has Windows 7 on it and the SSD has a bunch of games on it. I know I was too lazy to reformat when I got the SSD.
Anyways, I want to do a clean install of Windows 10 on the new PC.
So my questions are:
1) What is the best way to ensure that the SSD is freed up of space when I use it in the new PC? Is formatting the drive when I install Windows the best way to delete everything from the drive or should I use some software to wipe the SSD first? Or can I just manually delete everything? Also, I have heard that you should only use the option 'quick format' on SSDs, any truth to this?
2) After I have set up the SSD as my main drive, I want to use the HDD as storage. What is the best way to free up space on the HDD? Should I just use Windows to format the drive or use some software to wipe that drive?
Thanks!
