Want to add extra RAM, don't know if I can.

Solution

Ok, you can use the full 32GB the board supports with win 7 Pro 64 bit. Best chance of success to get the new and old ram sticks to play together is to get the exact same thing, brand, model, speed, everything. Even then there's no guarantee they'll work together.

I do a lot of rendering, while doing other things, and run a lot of things in the background and I find myself using 90% of my memory from time to time. I am running Windows 7 Professional SP1.

Yeah, I'm thinking of buying the exact same memory. So, even if I do buy it, there might be a chance that they won't? I'll keep that in mind, and make sure that the return policy allows me to give it back in case they don't play nice.

Thanks once again.
