Hi,i m planning to buy a laptop cooling pad for my lenovo y5070 (gtx 960m and i7 4720hq)i wonder if it is really worth it in terms of gaming performance and gpu/cpu heating

As long as the pad has it's fans under the laptops vent and has it's own filter, otherwise it may help fill the laptop with dust all too quickly

Unless your laptop is currently seriously overheating that would cause fps drops you would see fps improvemet due to temperature decrease. Otherwise if your laptop temperatures are within limits fps will stay the same hence cooling pad won't improve your fps only your laptop hardware temepratures
