Will Hyper 212 (normal 1st gen) work on lga 1151 socket?

I currently own an LGA775 socket mother board which is ep43t-ud3l gigabyte and I have CM Hyper 212 running on it. Now I am planning to upgrade to LGA1151 (i5-6600K) will the same cooler work for me on the current new gen board?. To be more specific I currently have "Intel core2Quad Q8400 with Motherboard ep43t-ud3l gigabyt, now i am upgrading to Intel Core i-5 6600K (skylake) with an H170 -pro or Z170-P asus mother board. Will the old cooling system work on this new rig?

I did just build my Rig and I am sorry to tell you that Hyper 212(1st gen) does not work. LGA 775 is 2 inch's smaller than LGA 1151, because of this had to get a new Hyper 212 X which worked like a charm.
