I'm doing everything correctly and it still says that my port is closed

Online port check tools look for a response from your server to determine if the port is open. Be sure the Project Zomboid server is running when using the port checker.

Make sure that the public IP address matches the WAN address of the router from which you are configuring port forwarding.
