Hi all,
I am completely new in the overclocking world so I could really appreciate some advices here.
As I said I have a gtx 970 g1 gaming, a i5 4690k, a XFX 550 TS (80+ bronze) PSU, a Gigabyte GA-Z97x-Gaming 3 motherboard and recently I got a Cryorig H5 CPU cooler.
So I was wondering how much could I OC my GPU and CPU considering the power I have? Or should I maybe just OC the GPU to get the max out of games (since this setup is purely meant for gaming)?

Your i5 should be plenty powerful for gaming, no OC'ing necessary. If you wanted to you could probably easily overclock it to a solid 4-4.2ghz with just some multiplier adjusting and without a lot of tweaking needed. Over 4.2 will require some tweaking and voltage adjustments though.

The OC on the GPU would probably give better results in games though which is your primary goal and I'd focus more on that.
