So here's my problem. Every few minutes or so my pc will lose wifi and then reconnect moments later. Here's what I know so far:

1) This is the process that happens: Connected but doesn't work. (looks fine), then to connections are available but not MY router, then to no connections available as if my adapter was not even there. It then reconnects by itself a few moments later.

2) [/b I'm fairly certain It's not my router. Other devices in my house work fine, and I haven't made any changed or had any problems up until a few weeks ago.

3) It seems to behave differently based on what I'm doing. If I'm on games like Rome 2 or on you tube, it never fails to disconnect, however when I play armored warfare it has never disconnected me. Stress?

4) Here's what I've tried so far. Moving the USB wireless adapter to another port, uninstalling the driver and reinstalling the USB adapter like new, updating the driver (it is up to date), using command prompt to enter: netsh winsock reset, resetting the router, using the WPS on the USB, and making sure windows will not turn off the device to save power.

I'm not sure what the problem is, and my computer is new (got it in december of this year) and I don't want to buy a new adapter if that's not the problem.

P.S: If you think it is the adapter, can you suggest one that is relatively cheap, and will not give me any grief? Cheers!

Since you say the network works fine on other applications and not on certain games, it could be that your firewall/router is blocking access to that specific program. Do you have an anti virus installed on your system? If so, go to firewall settings and set the applications you want to 'allow' access.

Actually, after I allowed some odd looking (but not harmful looking) applications through Windows Firewall (thats the only one I use) it worked for a few hours but I'm not sure if it was directly related to that, and in any case it's still happening!

Really a ah heck.
