GTX 970 Feature Showdown: ASUS STRIX vs MSI Gaming vs Gigabyte G1
Stay away from Asus for anything outside motherboard. My laptop is a lemon and wen through 4 RMAs. Plus their engineering decisions are questionable.

Gigabyte is also on my black list after getting 3 RMA in 16 months for the same motherboard.

It only leave MSI that I really like, however I have no clue about their graphic cards since I only owned motherboard from them.

My personal advice would be to stick with video cards manufacturer as their initial business segment.

XFX, EVGA, Powercolor... etc.

i have had Graphics Cards from EVGA, Gigabyte, Asus and MSI
they are ALL good, in terms of grahics card quality/fans
chance for Coil whine is about equal
BUT
i must admit, Asus does NOT have the best customer service, so if you need to RMA, you wont like the Asus unless you have a good retailer that decide not to send it back to Asus but just swap card themselves, some retailers do this.

one note on my Gigabyte cards tho: they seemed to tend to get hotter than my other cards, but at the same time, they got better/bigger clock speeds, not that the tiny clock difference is important tbh

nothing extra positive or negative to point out regard to EVGA or MSI

Gigabyte has one of the best coolers(WINDFORCE). So it OCs well. The Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 is the best choice as it has one of the best cooling and performance for a GTX 970.

I have had Zotac and I had good experiences with them it's a pretty reliable company same with MSI GB and Asus but Out of the 2 I like Zotac and MSI since they bring high clock speeds
