I recently got an AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870 graphics card without checking to see if my power supply was good enough.

What power supply would be best for this gpu?

Also, how do I find out what my current power supply is?

To find out what your existing power supply is shutdown, unplug the pc and remove the side panel and look at the sticker. A high quality 500-550 watt model will work for a typical system with a dual or quad core cpu and an HD 7870. List your full system specs for a more definitive answer.

With power supply questions always list all your hardware.

Only has 1 PCI-E power connector the card needs 2 that's a good sign yours is not sufficient.

I'm afraid you'll need to upgrade the power supply. The Cooler Master you have is low quality and lacks the proper cabling to hook up the HD7870 to make it run.
