Hi,

To start off with I want to apologise as i'm a bit of a novice when it comes to technical things related to laptops and pc's. There's a couple of problems which may or may not be related and I'll be very grateful for anyone that can help.

Firstly it started when I was just on Google Chrome watching youtube videos, than all of a sudden when i click on another video I get a message saying something about an error with https, so I was immediately worried as I've never had this message before. So I try and open other website and I get the same message. I then try Microsoft edge and that wont open any pages as it says "There’s a problem with this website’s security certificate". I then quickly run multiple scans with avast, malwarebytes and iObit Advanced System Care and none of them had any problems. I reset my laptop and Chrome appears to be working now which is good but Edge still has the same problem so I'm still pretty worried.

My next problem which possible could be related is that when I go onto File Explorer>Network. I see My laptop and my wireless hub. But I also see a mobile phone that I don't recognise! It's Listed as E2105 and when I right click properties it says its a Sony. How is this here? is it showing me because it's on my network? or does it just bring up a list of available devices? because my Phone isnt on there and it's connected through my Wi-Fi. Any help to put my mind at ease would be very helpful, and if anyone can explain my first problem that would be great to.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

Hi,

We definitely have a password on the Wi-Fi. So how is it possible this device is on my Network? And how come the other 4-5 devices like iPads and other mobile phones in my house don't show up?

Also do you know why the first problem is occurring?

Check the time on your PC. It may look right but also check the timezone is correct. This can cause what you describe.

The Time and date are correct. I've seen this solution before but it's exactly right. My Chrome is Working which is the only browser I use but it's really bugging me as to why Internet Explorer and Edge don't. Do you reckon it has something to do with the 2nd query?

Thanks anyway.

Just Checked the connected devices on my router at the same time this unknown phone was appearing and it wasn't coming up on my router at all. So is it possible that it's just picking up my neighbours phone?
