Is there any differences between the Z170 micro and the H170 micro besides overclocking

there are chipset differences besides overclocking. tom's did a round up on the various chipsets and what each can and can't do http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-skylake-processors-101,4498.html

worth the read so you can better understand the difference. most is not a big deal but a couple features may be worth the extra cost of the z170 chipset. most of the features will be there as you've noticed for h170. the h110 and b150 are where a lot of stuff is lost.
