So, basically to describe my problems which are very consistent...blue screen after waking up from very long sleep or my computer randomly has restarted when I wake it up. Also I turn off my computer every night and when I turn it on sometimes randomly black screens then restarts. Any ideas?

Solution
There are different versions or better revisions of your motherboard,at the left bottom corner you can see which revision you have, look for the latest bios for that revision. There seem to be different biosses for each revision so make sure you get the right one.

To update the bios you download that file, unpack it,put it on an empty usb stick and before starting the pc stick it in,start the pc,go into the bios and look for the update tool there,if it recognizes the bios follow the steps.

How do I get the codes? My computer is only 2 years old from when I built it. It sounds like the GPU fan is extremely loud when I start it up. I haven't actually seen my computer blue screen in awhile, nowadays it just shuts down and restarts with a black screen. Also it's very regular now when I turn on my computer first thing getting on, it's just a black screen and I have to then hit the restart button on my computer to get it to work. My computer hasn't blue screened in a long time because I stopped putting my computer to sleep overnight and instead just started shutting down my computer every night. I'm sure it would blue screen if I put it to sleep.

I didn't know a motherboard could have onboard graphics...I know my CPU is integrated graphics but I don't use it.

I think he acknowledges that.

What Hellfire probably wants is for you to take the dedicated gpu out and use the integrated gpu, test that way to see if the dedicated gpu is the culprit.

Teling what parts you have,motherboard/cpu/gpu/ram (amount+maker and model) is something helpfull anyway.Include the psu=maker/model/wattage.

If the pc is running can you do this,

Download hwinfo32,
http://www.hwinfo.com/download32.html
open it,
click run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
click save report at the left top,
in the next window at the bottom check=⓪ "short text report" after that next, you'll get to see what is in your pc,
copy that by clicking "copy to clipboard" and right click->paste in you next post.

pretty much...

I know what all my info is and such, I have a corsair CX430 PSU, Nvidia GT 630 GPU, I JUST installed my new i5 4590 today and my motherboard is a Gigabyte H81-H with LGA 1150 socket. Having a new issue now, since I reinstalled windows 7 after putting in my new i5 everytime I restart my computer now it's just a black screen, the computer is on but no display but when I hold the power button to turn it off then I turn it back on..everything is fine and it displays again. I could try just using my integrated graphics and see if that changes anything. I do have a feeling my video card is going bad. Also idk maybe could have something to do with my hard drive. I also get consistent video stutters in games, thinking that's my video card as well.

Do I have to take out my graphics card or is there a way to turn off the PCI slot?

Now somehow when the computer turned on the pci slot was now default again that's how it turned on. It seems the integrated graphics are not working at all and it's instead forcing display to pci slot? I can't even get into my bios now

EDIT. Okay I'm an idiot of course the integrated graphics won't work if my hdmi cable is my my GPu. I'll try again doing it correctly this time

EDIT. Now my screen just goes black after the bios screen when using integrated graphics only

I got the integrated graphics to work, but still same issue when I restart my computer, black screen. That's my only real problem, every restart I have to force power down. So confusing

It's just when I restart my computer, when I'm on my computer. Hit restart, shuts down...black screen the whole time nothing comes up ever. Then I have to force power down for it to display. Also don't know what either of those are

ur hardwares and booting process seems fine, else it wont work even after powering down...
seems like something is obstructing d display to initiate...now ths goes to d motherboard level...maybe...

i m afraid ths is out of my league to pinpoint...
from here on it ll b trial and error if u choose to continue...but i wud suggest tht u take it to a professionsl shop...

or u cud try a few different things maybe...if u r familiar with whats inside d cabinet...i m hoping that u r, bcoz u said u installed d i5...
if i were u, i wud remove all d rams except one...reset d cmos and d motherboard jumper...remove all pcie cards...hard disks...any other peripheral devices attached to d system...
just d motherboard, 1 ram stick and processor and power on d system...and see if i get a display...and i ll continue with all d ram slots n ram sticks serially until we hit something...

I just bought some new Thermal paste so when that comes in I'll try stuff out I'm not sure what could be causing it no clue I've tried a lot already.

Tried a different connection? Maybe dvi or even vga.
Tried a different cable?
The bios is up to date? Just to be sure. looking at the new cpu here as well.

When using the intergrated would it take the dedicated gpu out.

Are you sure you use the right drivers anyway? You seem to be able to install windows fine, but only after that it goes wrong if i read correctly.

Tried different cables, not sure on bios update as it seems confusing can't figure it out. I don't know what you mean about the GPU part. All updates and drivers are installed and up to date.

ok...wat Vic is trying to know is...
did u ever update ur BIOS... is it upto date???
