Hi, I use this computer primarily for gaming and I want to upgrade my Geforce GTX 650 Ti Boost but I'm clueless when it comes to specs and what will actually be a good upgrade. Can I get a decent upgrade in the $150 range? If so, what's recommended? Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Hi! Thanks for the prompt response. My CPU is a AMD FX 4130 Quad Core Processor 2.81 GHz. I realize I may need to do some additional upgrading in the near future, it's been a while since I've upgraded anything.

How do I find out the wattage of my power supply? Will this card fit into the same slot?

Oh yes, it's pretty old cpu and it will definitely bottleneck R9 380x. If you have good motherboard you can upgrade cpu to FX-8350

PSU wattage is written on the PSU itself. Open your pc case and you should be able to read the wattage

Wattage also matters. If he has best seasonic PSU but is under 500W he won't be able to run R9 380 ;)

Would be around 400W true.. However I did write "if you have a good 550 or more watt psu" so

Um... My motherboard is just as old as the CPU or older, I'm fairly certain I bought them together when I did but I don't have the finances to upgrade all this stuff at the moment. I think I'll check the PSU and if need be get a higher wattage one along with the video card you suggested for the time being and then when I am able to I'll upgrade the motherboard and the CPU. Unless there are any other recommendations I think I'm set! Thanks for your help!

Buy something like EVGA 650W G2 or GS model for PSU ! Untill you upgrade your cpu/motherboard you will get some bottlenecks between your cpu and R9 380 due to slow cpu. Some fps drops here and there while gaming.

For upgrade take either i3 6100 with H110/H170 motherboard or i5 6500 with H170/Z170 motherboard
