Sapphire Vapor-x 7950 3gb Optimal Voltage?

Solution
If 1.25 doesn't work, still crashing, go for 1.256 and back down. But 1.25 should be the spot. The stock voltage for 7970 ghz edition 1050/1500 MHz is 1.256v.

just keep it at stock I believe. unless you run into walls when just raising your core/memory, don't increase the voltage. my 7970 vapor-x is on stock voltages and its doing fine. and mind you I believe the vapor-x cards are voltage locked, so you will have to flash it to a 7950 reference to change voltage. 2nd ",mind you", doing so will void the warranty by sapphire

Okay heres a bit of info.

Sapphire Vapor-x 7950 3gb

Current voltage is 1.231v in AfterBurner but in GPU-Z it shows VDDC 1.223 MVDDC 1.602

Clocks like it says in "question" are Core Clock 1100Mhz Memory Clock 1400Mhz and fan speed is at 40-45% Also the Power Limit is at +20%..

Thing is when im just browsing or doing some random stuff(not gaming or rendering or anything "stressfull for GPU" i get these black screens and fan start throtting to max... i looked it up a bit and some say its most likely that i dont feed it enough voltage so its crashing.. true or false?

PSU should be more than capable since its gold xfx 650watt ... so PSU not being able to put enough juice into it is striked out...

Seems like so. Are you able to increase the voltage? If you use TRIXX software, you can see how the reading is for voltage in the middle. Or use afterburner and set to reference under allow voltage control. After changing it, see if it actually changed when stressing it. And if you can change it, don't go over 1.3v. Seems like 1.24 or 1.25 is enough for you. Idk every card is different.

Yh.ill try. Trixx you said? Havent tried this one yet.

Ill set voltage on 1.25 straight up and see if i get crashes..if not ill try to slowly downgrade it and see where the crash kicks back in.. im better safe than sorry type so id rather have it under 1.25 than above.. thanks so far. Ill keep u posted after i run some trials :)
