is 72C socket temp, and 60C Core temp normal on Fx 8350 OC'd to 4.3Ghz with Hyper 212 EVO?

I OC'd my Fx 8350 to 4.3Ghz, and I ran prime95 for about an hour and the core temp leveled off at around 60C while the socket temp got up to 72C. I thought this might be an error considering all the stories of people never going above 55C while usin the 212 EVO, so I reapplied the thermal paste and re-seated the 212 properly, yet I still get the same temps. My PC is in a desk cubby, but the front and back side are open, allowing air to flow into and out of the PC, so I don't think thats an issue. I have 4 chassis fans that all run 100% all the time as they are not pwm. The ambient temperature is arounnd 25-27C. Should I be worried about these temps?

Solution

yes it would certainly result in lower temps because the more voltage the more wattage therefore more heat. bring it down as much as you can without sacrificing stability.

Ok, I just don't get how some people claim that they never go above 55C with their Hyper 212 EVO's while here I am with a .3Ghz Overclock almost reaching the recommended limit.

If I tried to lower the voltage, could I possibly get cooler temps?

Alright, thanks man, I'll go and see how low this chip can go XD

Those are actually good temps, since Prime95 stress the CPU way harder than regular programs/games, it's very likely you won't exceed 55ºC while gaming/encoding.

Depending your CPU yield you might be able to sustain your current OC with a lower voltage, go ahead and test test test.

Which temps are you referring to when you say 55C. Do you mean core temps or socket temps, because right now I increased the multiplier and am running at 4.4Ghz stable, and my core temp never went above 55C during prime95 but the socket temp goes to around 75C.
