Asrock am1b-itx bios update without CPU (5370)

Hello,

I would like to know if i can update the BIOS to P1.60 version for Motherboard Asrock am1b-itx without CPU. AMD Athlon 5370 works from that BIOS version and i don't have another AM1 CPU just for updating it.
Is, by any chance, this MB sold with the latest BIOS version (1.60) so it can work from the beginning with 5370?

BIOS v1.60 was released 12 months ago, so if you recently bought that motherboard new, there's a good chance it's BIOS is already the latest version (1.60):

Please note it will not be possible to update the BIOS without a compatible CPU since under those conditions the system will not POST, so you wouldn't be able to do anything with it.

Hi, If the BIOS is too old, you can replace the board's BIOS chip. When buying the board, check the BIOS version: http://www.asrock.com/support/images/FindBIOS-1.jpg
