Solution
did you buy a new hard drive?
also have u got some money left by any chance?

upgrade to 8gb ram for 30 dollars would be a really nice upgrade(2x 4gb 1600mhz).
about the build its pretty nice

she's lucky her psu is a decent quality one, still i would recommend a ssd, because the pc will get noticeably slower without it within 6 months.

just migrate windows and main programs on it. ow and make sure the ram is ddr3

You need a 2x4GB RAM kit as that motherboard has no more than 2 slots, which are currently in use by your 2x2GB XMS3 memory. (you already mentioned that you're getting new RAM anyways).

Here the cheapest I found, with good values/latency:

Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($31.88 @ OutletPC)
Total: $31.88
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
