I have been thinking about that, but came to the conclusion that the $120 i could save, wouldnt make up for the 2 extra cores, since i might want to do other stuff than playing. Like streaming and such.

If i went with a GTX 980Ti instead, i would have to pay the equivalent to $348 extra where i live (Denmark).

Follow-up question: Would you pay $348 extra to get the GTX 980Ti instead of one GTX 970 now and another one later at some point?

Actually that's a very good point. I just googled it, and it seems to be a quite silly time to buy a new GPU.
Maybe i should get an used GTX 960 or alike, and then upgrade to what seems reasonable when the time comes where pascal is on the market. I didnt know there was such a huge leap forward but x10 performance on pascal seems like a legit wait. None the less, the 980Ti might become a whole lot cheaper.

Thanks man, that was good info.
